Introduction
“Personalized messaging queue” by Cloudli Connect allow the subscribers to customize the music and the advertisement played when a call is place on hold.
Prerequisite
- Cloudli Connect account (active)
- “Personalized messaging queue” option must be active
- Audio tracks (music or advertisement) of 10 Mb or 2 minutes maximum
- Prepare the plan for the advertisements
Programing
- Find the sub-menu called “Personalized messaging queue” and its modules
Log in Cloudli Connect, click on the “Telephony” and then click on the sub-menu “Music on hold”.
*Make sure you are in an account where the “Personalized messaging queue” option is active. *
The three modules below will be displayed:
- “Music”: Add the song tracks which will be played when a call is placed on hold.
- “Messages/Advertisements”: Generate with our Google text to voice feature, record live or add announcements that will be played when a call is placed on hold.
- “Music on hold”: Determines the order in which music tracks and advertisements will be played when a call is placed on hold (online mixer).
NOTE: Storage included per “Personalized messaging queue” option:

- 50 “Music”.
- 20 “Messages/Advertisements”.
- Generate and activate 5 “Music on hold”.

- Upload “Music”
- Click on the module “Music”
- Click on the “New” button
- Add a title that summarizes the music track in the "Title" field
- Upload the music track by clicking on “Upload” button.
- Click on “Save and continue” or “Save”
Repeat these steps until all the desired music tracks are uploaded in the subscriber account.

- Generate, record, or add “Messages/Advertisements”
- Click on the “Messages/Advertisements” module.
- Click on the “New”.
- Add a title that summarizes the advertisement in the "Description" field.
- Add the advertisement text or its summary in the “Text” field.
- Choose the type of recording:
Type of recording | Description |
Option 1 – Upload | Upload an already recorded wave file («.wav » format) located on your computer. |
Option 2 – Record | lick on the button “Click here” to record an advertisement by using phone. |
Option 3 – Text to speech | Let the integrated Cloudli Connect X Google text to speech feature converts the text added in the field above into voice. Select the voice to be used to synthesize the text to voice. |
- Click on “Save and continue” or “Save”
Repeat these steps until all the music desired tracks are uploaded in the subscriber account.
- Create a music on hold (mix the music and the advertisements online)
- Click on the “Music on hold” module.
- Click on the “New”.
- Add a title that summarizes the advertisement in the "Description" field.
- Check the “Default” box if this music on hold must be used by default in the account. We will be explaining where and how to activate the music on point 4.
- Select the “Music” that should be played in this “Music on hold” (mix).
- Select the “Messages/Advertisements” that should be played in this “Music on hold” (mix).
- Select the “Pause (delay)”. The “Pause (delay)” is the frequency between each “Messages/Advertisements”. The “Music” are played during this pause.
- Click on “Save and continue” or “Save”
Repeat these steps until all the desired music tracks are uploaded in the subscriber account.
“Music on hold” activation
The “Music on hold” can be activated on:
- Phone numbers (toll free and local).
- Light call queue.
- Advanced call queue (contact centre required).
